Adexen Recruitment Agency is looking for a Field Service Engineer (Electrical) for a world leader in integrated power plants for the production of electricity and air quality control system. They are involved in electrical Engineering, Power Generation and Instrumentation activities in Nigeria

Job description
On-site jobs related to service, repair and overhaul of Generator and auxiliary equipment of Power Plants at client sites across North West Africa (mainly Libya, Tunisia, Morocco, Algeria Ivory Coast, Ghana and Nigeria)
Interact closely with the customer on technical and quality issues, advise and supervise (or proffer solutions)

Responsibilities

• Prompt servicing and maintenance on customer Generators
• Effectively diagnose mechanical and electrical and control faults on customer equipment
• Maximise the commission of new equipment and train customers in the general operations of their equipment.
• Maintain test instruments to ensure they remain in good condition
• Work closely with the sales unit to generate more business
• Attend training on knowledge development and skills
• Be aware of, constantly apply and monitor health and safety regulations on site.
• Installs or oversees installation of equipment according to manufacturer's specifications.

Requirements

• B.SC or HND in Electrical Engineering from a reputable university
• A minimum of 3-6 years post NYSC experience gained in a power plant on complete overhaul/inspection/trouble shooting/alignment
• Thorough knowledge about the constructional features and components of Generator
• Excellent skills in mechanics, drawing, reading, measurement and lifting are mandatory.
• Preferred experience in Generator Air Cooled > 20 MW.
• Any previous training undertaken will be an added advantage.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English language is mandatory
• Self-motivated and detail oriented
• Able to work under pressure and manage stress.
• Able to work with little or no supervision.
• Able to communicate and relate effectively with international teams.
• Bi-lingual candidates will be given preference.
